Ritva Nero is a Finnish band founded in Helsinki in 2017 that performs high-energy Party Metal Folk. Their sound blends 19th-century folk traditions with the distorted bass and heavy drums of metal music. Currently working with their historical and folklore-themed “Haudasta kaivettu / Exhumed” repertoire—fronted by the explosive vocal duo Laura Maria Rinta and Erika Hammarberg—the band is known for live shows that feature everything from mosh pits to mazurka.

Ritva Nero achieved international acclaim and radio play across Europe and North America with their 2022 debut album Immortal Tradition (Bafe’s Factory). The band has performed on several major stages at European folk music festivals: Kaustinen Folk Music Festival (FI), Haapavesi Folk Music Festival (FI), Nordischer Klang (GER), Korrö Festival (SWE), Guinness Irish Festival (CH) and Sommelo Folk Music Festival (FI).
